WELCOME!
The purpose of the Prayer and Encounter Ministry is to encourage others in developing a lifestyle of presence, peace and power through encounter with Jesus. There are six key areas that encompass this ministry: Communion, Creative Arts, Intercession, Prayer Ministry, Prophetic Ministry and Soul Care. Our desire is that through these areas of ministry, individuals will learn to recognize the voice of God in their lives, remember His sacrifice on the cross and resurrection as the center of all things, and be activated to go into the world and share the good news of the Kingdom of God.

Our ministry aims to equip our body of believers to: "Manifest your kingdom realm, and cause your every purpose to be fulfilled on earth, just as it is fulfilled in heaven.” Nothing is withheld from us!"
 Matthew 6:10 (Passion Translation)

Prayer and Encounter Ministry partners will serve the Vineyard family in cultivating a more intimate walk with Jesus. They will demonstrate the love and heart of the Father by “rightly handling the Word of truth” (2 Tim 2:15). “Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth” (1 Cor 13:4-6). Ministry partners commit to “do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant” (Phil 2:3) and in doing so represent Vineyard’s mission.

- Available Positions -

Communion Ministry Partners
- The Communion Preparation Team prepares the communion elements in the day(s) prior to the first Sunday of the month, when communion is served. They arrive 90 minutes prior to service to set up and stay 30 minutes afterwards to clean up.
- The Communion Serving Team is available during service on Communion Sunday to serve trays of bread and juice to the congregation.

Creative Arts Ministry Partner - Participates in Open Studio nights and some serve on our Stage Painting team. These artists are passionate about conveying the love of God through their artwork and receive their inspiration from the Holy Spirit.

Intercession Partner - Prays for congregation prayer requests as well as leadership, community, and region. Meets at 9:00 am Sunday mornings to cover the service and various ministry areas of the church in prayer. Some team members also prayer walk the grounds and facility. *Prayer meetings are open and do not require an application, but congregation prayer requests are not openly shared unless on the team.

Prayer Ministry Partner - Attends initial prayer training and monthly team meetings. Prays with church members directly following the Sunday morning service and sometimes during ministry time following worship. This is typically a 30-minute commitment after service. The team is also invited to participate in praying at special events and meetings throughout the year.

Prophetic Ministry - All ministry partners are encouraged to attend our monthly Hearing His Voice classes, which meet the last Thursday of the month. We spend time in worship, teaching and participate in exercises designed to help grow our confidence that we can hear from God! We believe that the ability to discern the voice of God comes from a strong Biblical foundation.

John 10:27 "My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me." (NLT)

Soul Care Ministry Partner - Attends initial sozo training and meets with the team monthly for encouragement, relationship and further training. Commits to one (but preferably two) weekends a month ministering in a soul care session. Must first train with the Prayer Team.

*Please note, ministry specific training may include a background check, depending on your area of service. You will be contacted after filling out this application, to discuss your ministry interest and the process for joining one of our teams. We look forward to connecting with you!
